| This course is for persons with previous trade training and workplace experience in engineering or allied industries who wish to add to their skill base for employment, or diversification, in the engineering, boat building, gas and petrochemical industries expansion in Taranaki. It will equip, or reinforce, understanding, skills, knowledge, attitudes and values required to safely and competently operate Manual Metal Arc Welding (MMAW) and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) machines in the downhand, vertical and overhead positions. These internationally recognised welding procedures are used in many work situations, especially general engineering work places. | |
