Company Profile: Alpha Training & Development Centre is 100% locally owned and operated. It started in north Taranaki in 1984 and in south Taranaki in 1992. Courses are from entry level to trades person level. Graduates can leave with National or Local Certificates or with welding tickets to recognised New Zealand industry standards. These open the way for employment in Taranaki, New Zealand wide and overseas. Entry level courses in carpentry, engineering, welding and allied skills are free through WINZ and Tertiary Education Commission funding. Entry level and higher level courses are eligible for student loans and allowances. Training packages can be designed for client needs on an individual basis.
